Art City Landscape
by Carsten Hardt © 2009
This exhibition is conceptually based on the historical landscape architecture of the Hofgarten (Court Garden): the transition from a baroque garden to an English garden. The square contrasts with the soft modelling of the park's paths. It becomes part of the overall image. The use of stones for orientation and information within the tiles of the pathways symbolises the idea of the exhibition: promenading in the park and conscious perception of the art. The Hofgarten in Düsseldorf serves as the city’s green lung and builds a contrast to the concrete around. Supervised in cooperation with Prof. Philipp Teufel
